Types of Accommodations In The UK

Getting a good college is tough, but getting accommodation for a university-going student is equally more burdensome. There are numerous accommodations available across the country but, several factors have to be considered before making the obvious choice, like the distance from the college, type of facility the accommodation offers, renting cost, safe environment, and a lot more. Before knowing what type of accommodation you are looking for, you must know the types of accommodations available to choose from.

Types of student accommodations

Halls of residence: The halls of residence are those types of accommodations that are owned and managed by UK universities. The Manchester Uni Student accommodation offers rooms to the international students of the first year. Students will be designated private rooms. However, a kitchen and lounge area would be shared by 6-8 students. Also, there would be no additional charges for the wi-fi and other Bills. The rent would be inclusive of all such expenses.

Private halls of residence: These are privately owned accommodations. The Sheffield Hallam Student accommodation comprises the same characteristics as the university's residence halls, such as the shared spaces and integrated Bills. However, the renting cost is comparably higher as they claim to be offering modern and high standard facilities.

Private renting: Private renting becomes the best choice for students in the second and third years. It is a wholly private and independent accommodation. It means that the students are themselves responsible for paying the bills and the cleanliness of the quarters.

Hopefully, the mentioned accommodations would be of great help to you in making a decent decision while looking for accommodation.
